Another update on my Twitter account after using it for about a month and some insight on my blog responses!

I hope to do my research on sharks as they are my favorite animals. Therefore, I looked for accounts on Twitter that are related to sharks to further benefit my research process. Some of my favorite shark related accounts I followed include: @DrAlistairDove, @UrbanEdgeSharks, and @SharkScience. These accounts tweet about interesting shark facts, advocate for animal rights -specifically sharks, and spread awareness about the issues marine animals face. The accounts also re-tweet from other shark-related Twitter accounts, filling their feeds with good content that will be useful towards my Literature Review.
When tweeting and re-tweeting I tried to focus on some of the topics we have covered, such as animal intelligence, communication, and social behavior. I was able to find some interesting articles, videos, and even TikToks on these topics. Aside from that, I tweeted and re-tweeted any good news I found related to animals. I wanted to share any heartwarming stories about animals with my followers. For example, I found a TIME article about millions of dogs being saved and given the chance to be adopted, which I tweeted. Click on the link to check it out if you haven't already: https://time.com/6144366/dog-adoption-relocation-aspca/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=social-share-article&utm_term=us_economy!
When on Twitter this week, I saw many great things and learned some interesting facts about animals. The most interesting thing I learned was about Zebrafish! Apparently, Zebrafish have great levels of number discriminations and these abilities are better than those of many mammals. I did not know that such a small creature could discriminate between different items. However, the best thing I saw on Twitter this week was some good news about wolves. The migrating wolves in Colorado are expected to birth some new litters soon!

Aside from Twitter, I responded to some of my classmates blogs this week. This week I read the blog posts of Katherine, Samuel, and Jerrod. In Katherine's blog I read about how in the past there have been many limiting factors in the research studies that focus on measuring animal intelligence. This is something I had never considered or read about before so it was interesting to learn about. In Samuel's blog I learned about octopuses and how they are intelligent creatures. He addressed their amazing abilities of problem solving which especially caught my attention. Finally, In Jerrod's blog I read about his possible animal research topics. One of his possible research topics was about whales and their social communication. Having read Carl Safina's chapter "Killer Wails", I was able to respond to Jerrod and provide some feedback on this research topic. I informed him of how Safina's chapter would be great for him to read if he does choose this topic as "Killer Wails" provides great information of the communication of killer whales.
I hope you were able to learn about my Twitter experiences this week, find new accounts to follow, check out the article I linked, and learn about the blogs I read and responded to!
All the best,

Hi Pavalli, I'm also interested in big fish, thank you for leaving those @'s in you post I will definitely check out some of those shark accounts. I found it really cool that you felt the need to mention my interests in whales. I will be sure to read the chapter on killer whales.
Hi Pallavi, I didn't think of that Zebrafish have high levels of discriminating ability on numbers. In addition, I have some question about the sharks’ intelligence, communication, and social behavior. Since, you going to do your research on sharks, I think you should find fore details about these.
